Sista Comfort is a multi-talented creator—poet, writer, hair artist, dancer, movement coach, and creative marketing director—whose artistry celebrates resilience, identity, and the beauty of cultural heritage. 

Born in Liberia, West Africa, she immigrated to Staten Island, NY, as a child refugee and later moved to suburban Pennsylvania. Her life’s journey, marked by both challenge and triumph, is at the heart of her work.

A graduate of Temple University with a B.A. in Sociology and a Paralegal Graduate Studies Certificate from UCLA, Sista Comfort has long embraced writing and movement as tools for healing and expression. 

She finds inspiration in blending personal narrative with universal themes of love, belonging, and transformation. Beyond her creative pursuits, she is passionate about empowering others to tell their stories through her 'Women Woes Project' and embrace their uniqueness.

Her daughters, Julia and Harmoni, share her creative spirit—a legacy reflected in their contributions to her work. 

Through poetry, hair, dance, and storytelling, Sista Comfort continues to inspire, uplift, and connect with audiences worldwide.

BRAND STORY

Born with an intuitive eye for beauty and a heart rooted in faith, I grew into my calling as a multidisciplinary creative who bridges worlds (spiritual, cultural, emotional, and artistic). 

My journey through motherhood, academia, cosmetology, production, and creative direction has shaped a unique voice anchored in purpose. 

My brand exists to uplift, restore, and amplify the sacredness of culture and humanity. 

Everything I create is guided by Yahweh, fueled by vision, and expressed through art.

ARTIST STATEMENT

My work exists at the intersection of beauty, culture, faith, and humanity. Every creation, whether hair, poetry, movement, or visual narrative, is prayer, an offering, and a form of documentation. I create, honoring the worlds within people, to elevate their lived experiences, and to bring light to what deserves to be seen. My art is not just expression; it is ministry, memory, and medicine.

My mission is to create art that honors humanity, uplifts culture, and reflects the spirit of Yahweh through every medium I touch. I strive to merge creativity with purpose—using hair artistry, storytelling, movement, and visual direction to cultivate healing, inspire beauty, and document the lived experiences of the world around me. truth, a cultivator of vision, and a creator who makes space for authenticity, transformation, and peace.
